Dominique Crenn

3 - Michelin Star Chef

Dominique Crenn is the co-owner and chef of the 3-Michelin starred restaurant Atelier Crenn in San Francisco. In 2018, she was awarded threeMichelin stars, becoming the first woman in the United States to be given this honor.

In the spring of 2019, Crenn was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. During her treatment, she felt best while eating wholesome and nutrient-dense foods. Her body started to heal, and she began to embody the idea that “food is medicine”. Although she has since beat cancer, she continues to promote plant-based diets not only for their health benefits but for their positive environmental impact. Additionally, at the end of 2019, Crenn announced that she is no longer serving meat on the menu at her restaurants. Crenn partnered with VitaBowl to create accessible and delicious, plant-based products that are scientifically designed to benefit your body. She continues to be an outspoken and active member of the international culinary community, promoting innovation, sustainability, and equality.

Sarah Brandow

MSc, Chief Nutritionist

Sarah Brandow is Vitabowl's Co-Founder and Chief Nutritionist. She specializes in plant-based recipe creation and nutrition for the prevention of lifestyle-related diseases. She graduated with aMasters of Science at the top of her class from the University ofWestminster in London, UK in 2014 and has worked internationally as a nutritionist ever since. Sarah has consulted for companies, restaurants, and hotels in 10 different countries, helping them optimize menus and provide meals that are balanced, delicious, and truly nutritious.

Dr. Joel Kahn


At his core, Dr. Joel Kahn believes that plant-based nutrition is the most powerful source of preventative medicine on the planet.Having practiced traditional cardiology since 1983, it was only after his own commitment to a plant based vegan diet that he truly began to delve into the realm of non-traditional diagnostic tools, prevention tactics and nutrition-based recovery protocols. These ideologies led him to change his approach and focus on being a holistic cardiologist. He passionately lectures throughout the country about the health benefits of a plant-based anti-aging diet inspiring a new generation of thought leaders to think scientifically and critically about the body’s ability to heal itself through proper nutrition.

Dr. Ryan M. Greene


Dr. Greene is an osteopathic physician (D.O.) specializing in human performance, sports medicine, nutrition, and the most cutting-edge recovery methods available. Dr. Greene’s principal belief is that integration of a constantly collaborative, holistic, evidence-based practice amongst health and wellness practitioners is crucial for an individual’s sustained success. Prior to joining Monarch AthleticClub, Dr. Greene earned his Master’s of Science (M.S.) degree inExercise Physiology, Immunology, and Human Nutrition at University ofIllinois (Urbana/Champaign). He completed post-graduate medical training at Dartmouth and The Mayo Clinic in which he collaborated with a wide array of leading medical experts culminating in numerous published research efforts.

Dr. Marilyn Tan


Dr. Tan is double board certified in Endocrinology and Internal Medicine.She practices general endocrinology, but her main clinical interests are outpatient and inpatient diabetes management. Her research interests include diabetes and post bariatric hypoglycemia. Dr. Tan is actively involved in resident and fellow education, and she has served as the Medical Student Clerkship Director, Residency Rotation Director, and Associate Program Director for the Endocrinology Fellowship Training Program. She is the chief of the Stanford Endocrine Clinic.

Dr. Jeff Hsu


Dr. Hsu received his undergraduate education at MIT, where he doublemajored in Mechanical Engineering and Biology, and he subsequently received a Masters of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering at MIT.He attended medical school at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and received his Internal Medicine residency training at UCSF Medical Center. He completed his General Cardiology and Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant fellowships at UCLA Medical Center, where he served as Chief Fellow. As a fellow in the UCLA STAR Program, he received his Ph.D. in the UCLA Molecular Cellular & Integrative Phsyiology (MCIP) department, in which he led several projects focused on molecular imaging of cardiovascular development and disease.
